Getting clips off a DVD

Try a program called Cinematize it works pretty good. The only thing is if your going to be compositing things wouldnt you need to figure out the frame rata and such?
 
well I think he means more in terms of editing a music video or things like that in witch case, you wouldnt really need to know that stuff for
