hello
i recently recorded a video of me playing drums to lil wayne's "A Milli". I was going to put it on facebook, but last time i posted a video with music, facebook deleted it and said i could only upload it if i got permission to use the song.

How easy is it to get permission to use it? it doesnt seem like a big deal to me.
and who would i contact?

thanks

It's pretty straight-forward getting permission to use a song; you contact the owner of the copyright then write them a check.

i dont see why u cant just post it, you arent selling it.... theres a lot facebook videos with someone else's music on it.

Well, that's exactly why you can't post it. You are giving someone else's music away for free without their consent. As copyright holder, they have the right to choose where and how their music is distributed.
