I recently started a new job that uses corporate Exchange servers with rather tight security. They officially don't allow any non-corporate device to access their Exchange servers, but I need a way to Sync my work calendar. Ideally, could I program my iPhone to connect to the exchange server without setting off alarms in their IT dept (I obviously have valid user and pw)? Ideally, it makes the most sense to take advantage of the Exchange functions on the iPhone and do that. Alternatively, can I install iTunes and physically sync the calendar from my work PC to my iPhone?
More details:
I do have a PC laptop from them that has all of my calendars on Outlook and is continuously synced. I know my Mac/iPhone inside and out, but their lappy is the first PC I've owned in something like 10 years. Is there any way to get that data off my work computer onto a Mac or iPhone without having to have either connect to the exchange server? Can I install iTunes and physically sync the calendar? I have MobileMe, so once it's on my iPhone or Mac, it's everywhere, but the problem is getting it off the PC laptop. As it is, it's makes completely no sense for me to have my entire work calendar trapped on my laptop, and I'm trying to think of ways to free it.
