I was just bragging to my friend about how fast the 4S was at loading pages. So we got out his 3GS still running OS4 and compared page loads. We went to cnn.com and yahoo.com and the 3GS loaded the page faster and completed the page downlad faster than my 4S. I would note that it was over Wifi but I was a little shocked that it was even close much less faster.

Anyone else run a similar test with different results?

Try resetting your router. I noticed a lag as well. I tried logging off and on wifi, turning iphone off and on. Turns out that the router reset fixed the problem.

It could be you didn't clear cookies, cache and history on both iPhones. If your friend goes to those websites often then it would make sense for them to be faster.

PS: You spelled download as downlad TYPO POLICE!
