Getting favorite photos off iOS devices

i have an iPad and iPhone and a large number (1000+) of favourited (heart button) photos on my devices. Is there anyway I can get them off the devices without using iCloud as I don't have any space remaining in my account and don't want to subscribe to pay for space. Don't see any options to import albums from Photos app or imagecapture.
