Getting "fuzz" out of recordings, programs?

I made some live recordings (with a not so great microphone) and there is some fuzz in the recordings. I think the sound was to loud for the microphone that is why there is some fuzz, that is just a guess, I'm a novice. But is there a program that can scan and automatically take the fuzz out?
