This seems like a stupid question but someone is asking me and off the top of my head I can't seem to replicate the solution. If someone is typing in their yahoo or other email account and they type in www.cnn.com for example..how do you automatically set up OSX or the specific yahoo/email acct to underline/hyperlink that address so recipients simply click on that link in the email. Thanks.

It automatically does that. It won't appear when you're composing, but your recipients will see the underlined link. Try sending and look at your message in your Sent folder.

I thought that was up to the email program itself.

You could always send the email as HTML.
