Getting Image Capture to open when I scan?

I have a 13" Macbook Pro and an cheap Canon all-in-one. When I was using the Canon with my old iMac running Panther, a "scan to PC" command on the scanner opened Image Capture automatically, but on Leopard it doesn't behave the same way. I know it's being nitpicky and lazy, but is there a way to replicate this on Leopard? Thanks.
