Getting imessage to work for all my devices

Hello, I have an Imac running 11.2, a mabook Pro running 11.3, and an iPhone running 14.4. Problem is they are not syncing correctly. the phone and macbook sync, but the icons for the people I am texting are different, and I think teh iMac is on its own. Where do I go in each to ensure all info is the same?
