Getting into 3D

Hello,

I've just got a Mac Pro, and have always wanted to do some 3D art. However, unlike most applications, it seems a bit harder to get on that first step of the ladder. I'm looking for something free (or close to it), that I can get started with.

Blender is what you want then....

It depends what you are looking to do, really. In terms of free.... Blender is a good one, so is SketchUp http://www.sketchup.com/
