This has happened quite a few times to me now, on my new MBP I5. Probably once a week, while watching youtube videos, my macbook pro will freeze and issue a kernal panic warning. This forces me to shut down my mac manually and then turn it back on to reset everything.

I tried searching for related problems associated with youtube, but couldn't come up with anything that deemed helpful to my situation. Am I destined to bringing this into the Apple store and having them take a look at the laptop to try and find the cause of the problem?

Flash? Try signing up for the html5 version of youtube and see if the videos in that format do the same thing. Flash is bad on a mac.... but not that bad. Look at your cpu monitor and see if you have something invisible running in the background maybe?

Just happened again. This is using Safari as my web browser.

So far 2 times today.

Read the panic logs to see what is causing it.

Usually it is 3rd party memory, but it could be something else.

Also to note, it was a music video that I had played before, and has worked countless times before. It just happened that time that I replayed it again caused it to crash. Kind of random.
