Does anyone have a simple process for getting Leopard onto a 9600? It has a G4 Sonnet card and is running SSDs via SATA PCI.

Ideally a disk image of a full Leopard install with the right ktexts to keep old-world support?

Note that this was built by @LightBulbFun, I'm just posting the link here. IIRC you need to reset the account password in the image.

I had seen the thread with that link, and my understanding is that the disk image has been significantly stripped of everything possible (localizations etc) to make it fit into an 8 GB boot limit for IDE.

As I'm using SATA with no limit (to my understanding), I'd rather a full install if possible. Or perhaps there are instructions for me to craft one?

Any of these?

I appreciate the credit :)

indeed its a stripped image, it was never really was made for public consumption, mainly made for @bunnspecial to test out :)

one of these days I need to put together a couple images, one all stripped and one not stripped etc

and also make sure to install all the kexts and patches properly (as the above image does lack a few of those, hence why when using it on a 9600 etc you still need to fire up xpostfacto and do a full install on it)

I also want to see if I can get a full 10.5.8 going, as currently the image uses a 10.5.5 kernel

just wish I had enough space here to setup multiple machines at the same time! (and also the 9600 really needs more then 192MB of RAM, if anyones got some 128MB 5V DIMMs going spare/for sale do let me know!)
