I think the lightning to 30-pin cable will be better in the grand scheme, wont put as much stress on that port or have to rely on having it stand up off a flimsier base than the 30-pin for dock speakers and such.

But going to wait until the knockoffs prevail for <$10 or so.

I'd imagine Monoprice is gonna make or sell them relatively soon as well, my for-any-type-of-cable depot. Got a 10' 30-pin cable which is nice for charging iPad while in bed and too far from an outlet.

So which is it?

I ended up getting the camera connection kit for my jailbroken iPad, to feed it SD cards, but got it refurbished from best buy and used a bunch of accumulated RewardZone dollars at Best Buy. it was like $5 after all that. Maybe I'll do that too for this, but I'm thinking it might be a while before refurbished surface.

Only the Lightning-to-USB cable is in the box based on all the documentation. The Lightning-to-30pin adapter appears to have been a mistake in the "additional accessories" part of the order.

Getting the extension cable because my car's original iPhone cable is too short anyway -
$39 -

Dang.

$39 for something like that is just

Like paying tax on the full price even if using a full-subsidy upgrade in CA and RI.
