Okay, I'm having a problem getting Mail to work. I have a Netscape account, which is an IMAP account. Supposedly, IMAP accounts work on mail, so I see no reason this shouldn't work. Everytime I put the info in, I get the same error message that says it is unable to contact the server. Now what reall ygets to me, is I get this error message almost immediatly after hitting the next button. There is no waiting, so I don't see how it could be timing out or anything. I'm clueless. Any help?

Do you have a firewall running? You may have to unblock a port for IMAP, i've never used one of them before...

edit: it's TCP port 143

The SOB still isn't working...this is really starting to piss me off...

I unblocked port 143...no luck.

I tried pinging the mailserver...no luck.

Does Netscape's mail just not work on Mail? Is that it?

When you created the account in Mail did you tell it it's an imap account? Are you entering all the server information accurately?
