getting media over the internet

As somewhat of a newcomer to networking, how can I hook my mybook harddrive up to a wireless router so that I can access my media over the internet from anywhere? Is this possible with an airport extreme??

you would have to forward a port through your router, use a service such as DynDNS (the free service works great) and then share the media files on the built in webserver.

Alternately you could use MyTunes RSS, a great little shareware app.
