Hey all. I have run into a strange little issue concerning Front Row that I am hoping you guys can shed some light on.
I currently have .iso backups of part of my DVD collection stored on a NAS 1TB hard drive. Lets say I would like to watch one of these said backups, lets say because the original backed up disk is now gone/dead.
I would like to be able to mount one of the disk images (from the NAS) and have it show up like a standard DVD would in Front Row. I seem to recall this working in the past; maybe it was because the .iso itself was stored on my internal HDD (before I moved it to the NAS)
DVD player sees the "disk" just fine and plays without a hitch, just not Front Row (which is infinitely sexier and more geared towards watching media on a TV anyway, i.e. w/o keyboard and mouse handy)
Is this happening because I have the images physically stored remotely? Is there some way to perhaps set up the NAS as a "source" for Front Row? Any little bits of wisdom on this would be a great help!
p.s. in case it makes a difference, my setup is: MB connecting to My Book World Edition NAS, mounted as a Samba shared drive. Running 10.5.6 with Front Row v. 1.0 (whatever shipped with Leopard) All the .iso images are a straight copy, no compression, meaning some are in excess of ~6GB...
