Getting my 3GS jailbroken 3.1.2 to a jailbroken 4.0?

Sorry if this is really common but I'm just a bit lost with all the tools for the different purposes!

I currently have a 3GS on jailbroken 3.1.2 [using Blackra1n], is there a way I can upgrade to 4.0 and jailbreak it as well?

Windows-only solutions right now unfortunately
