I have an '06 Macbook with a Core Duo.
I, like many others, have the flickering screen issue, which has finally cheesed me off so much that I am finally getting it fixed. Also getting the 2 1/2 inch long crack/missing piece of plastic from the right wrist pad repaired.
I was quoted 45 bucks for the inverter board to repair the flickering screen, and 85 bucks labor. The cracked plastic will be fixed free of charge.
Hopefully the quoted price won't go up, although I was expecting it to be much more expensive.
Is there anything else I should be looking into? What if the inv board doesn't fix my problem, or it breaks again? Applecare has expired, but can I buy some for it again? I was never really well informed about Applecare.
