getting photos out of the iphone?

Hi,
I've taken a few photos on my iphone, is there anyway to get them out and onto my pc? Also one of the photos was a contact, when adding her in i snapped a photo, it doesn't show up in the photos section of the phone, only when she calls, anyway to get to that also?
And is there a way to upload videos into the phone and watch them, does it have to be a certain file format?

contact photos dpnt show up in your regular photos section so you cant import it but to import the others simply connect your iphone to your computer and follow the promptings
