Getting PSx roms

Ok I need help.
I'm trying to get some psx roms for my ps1 emulator. I download one, and put the .rar file onto my ipod touch using winSCP (or w/e it is). But it isn't working.

Could someone give me a very detailed and idiot-proof guide on how to get psx roms on my touch.

Is there a faster way to transfer. I extracted the .bin file out of the .rar file. But when I go to WinSCP it, it's extremely slow, and gets slower as it goes, is there a faster way to transfer the file?
