Seems at least once every other year, I get the iPhone itch. Coming from a long time Android user, not being able to mess with Developer Options and speed up animations has made the iPhone seem "slow" for me in the past.

But, no matter which phone I always get, I get bored. Quickly. Then look to iPhone. Now this year with the new 120hz ProMotion display, awesome battery life and sweet cameras, I'm getting the itch to make the move again.

But, I only usually use 20gb or so, maybe 30gb of storage usually. Should I get the 128gb, or with iOS updates, app updates and what not get the 256gb?

Needless to say I think I might end up with the 13 PM. Right now I have the Oneplus 9 Pro.

128 GB is a lot of storage unless you like to keep long HD videos on your phone.
My vids that I do shoot are mainly pretty short. Nothing cinematic here. Maybe some of the dogs, wife and the bird dancing, lol.

I'm much like you, returned my Pixel 6 and went back to my Oneplus 7T and Pixel 5, but also keep an iPhone 12 for when I get bored (which is too often!). All my phones are 128gb, I have a ton of pics, quite a few vids, a bunch of local music MP3's, and I still have 80+ gb free. The premium for the 256 iPhones is totally ridiculous, no wonder they have record profits every quarter. Save your cash and stick with the 128!

This is my 11 Pro Max:

I tend to get what I want and 99.99% of the time that usually includes what I actually need. In this case, the 512GB 11PM. I feel that if I'm going to be buying a new iPhone and spending all that money I want the highest capacity Apple offers every time. I upgrade every 2.5 to 4 years so no reason to be stuck with something that long I am not going to be happy with.

As to Android, I gave it a shot from May 2020 to May 2021 with my Pixel 3a XL. I'm happy with that phone, but iPhone drew my back. Apple, to me, appears to be more organized and consistent than its competitors.

I do pay for Google One storage. It's like 100gb for a few bucks a month. Even if vids are recorded, they'd be backed up to Google, pix as well.

I do have another question. Is it pretty easy to move over bookmarks from Chrome to Safari?

I also pay for G1. I think the same as yours. Got it when I got my Pixel and as the app works on iOS I still pay for it. Just don't use it much as all the important stuff on my iPhone isn't actually stored on my iPhone. I use non-Apple services.

I can't really answer your question. I don't use Safari (on any platform) or Chrome on iOS.

What browser do you use?

If you’re using around 30GB of local storage, then a 128GB model would suffice. But I’m assuming you are unaware that there is difference in ProRes video recording capabilities between the 128GB and the rest of the storage models. If you don’t care about the difference, then 128GB should be the best buy for you.

Will you want to upgrade again when the 14 comes out and no dramas wallet-wise? IF so then get a 13Pro/Max 256GB. If not, I'd wait. I think the upgrade will be pretty significant. As a 13 Pro Max owner, the phone is very good, but this year's model looks way better from the leaks so far. The battery is fantastic on the 13Pro Max.
