I read a news story about a girl who was stopped at a traffic light and was actually ticketed by a police officer for putting on makeup while at that traffic light. The fine was $250 and was in the scope of a little used law about not using your full attention while driving(yes, even while stopped at a light).

My question would be with the advent of being tethered to our phones 24/7 and teen accidents resulting from texting & driving, is it forseeable that if an officer sees you 'touch/use' your watch on the road, you may be ticketed for using an electronic device while driving?

You SHOULD get a ticket for texting from the watch while driving. Do you have a third hand to hold the wheel? Reading a text should not be bad. Unless your car does not have a clock you really do not need the watch while driving.
