I want to start a channel online for fun. I have an iPhone 14 Pro. I got a tripod. I’m looking at audio recording on this and it’s looking like the iPhone might not be up for the task.

What I’m reading is that the iPhone isn’t able to support multi track audio recording into the video stream. How is that the case? How is it this phone can’t connect to multiple microphones, wired or wirelessly, and dump the streams as individual audio channels in the same file as a video stream for editing on my Mac later?

Am I just not understanding something?

Seriously? You think that an iPhone (reminder: it's a phone) should somehow be a multi-track recorder out of the box? 😂
Look into e.g. the "DJI Mic 2". That's what they're for.

What sort of online channel are you wanting to start? YouTube? What type of content? Plenty of YouTubers start with an iPhone but there are limitations. My advice would be to start with your iPhone and see how you go. If you want to expand, I'd be looking at some sort of vlogging camera.
