Getting strange errors from Thunderbird

Hi

I am using Thunderbird as one of my mail apps.
Its never given me any hassles - except all of a sudden I can't send mail.

This is the error I get:
Sending of message failed

Unable to open the temporary file /tmp/nsmail.html.
Check your 'temporary directory' setting.
