Hey everyone,

I'm interested in getting the new iPhone that's supposedly coming out during the summer this year. I was wondering what the best thing for me to do would be to get the most value for my current 2G 8GB iPhone when I sell it. I want to use the money I would get from selling my iPhone towards the next gen iPhone. I paid $400 when I got it. Should I sell it now or later? Any thoughts?

You aren't gonna get anywhere close to $400. If you want to sell it I'd sell it below the price of the iTouch. You'd have a better chance of selling it.

I'm keeping mine as a collectable though. :p:apple:

If you're checking eBay prices, you'd be surprised. I just bought an 8GB (like new with original box and all accesories) for $300. And that was the cheapest auction I came across for about 4 days. If you'd like to sell it, I'd say eBay. They have highly inflated prices, but the market is willing to support it. If you are going to sell it though, I'd say do it before the next one gets announced, it will likely drive the prices lower as the market gets flooded with more 3Gs.

Itouch 8gb prices

I found itouchs at 8gb (Generation 3) at best buy for 185 $ and target for 180$, so dont go for the first price you see, because the first one i saw was at radio shack for 200$
