Hello all,
Is there a way to get the current state of silent/ring switch on the iPhone?
Or is there a way to automatically silence audio output of the application when the switch is set accordingly?

And a side note: do either/both iPod Touch generations have the switch?

Thanks,
-Josh

hi mate, i cannot help with the slient switch as i am still a learner in the xcode world. however i do own a first gen ipod touch and can confirm that the silent switch is not there. the only two buttons on the original touch is the power button and the home button.

not sure about the new one, pretty sure its not on there either as its not really got a use for it, i would suggest checking out the pictures of the new one from apples website.

hope this helps kris
