Getting this message about:blank

About says it all. In URL is about:blank and page is just that , blank.
Using Firefox &/or Safari.
What is this? thanks, have a good weekend.

about:blank is how browsers show a blank page when you set the homepage to a blank page.

If you are running Windows on your machine, it could possibly be a virus called "about:blank" which was very prevalent some years ago. As you described it creates a blank home page and is very difficult to get rid of. There's masses of info on Google.

On the other hand, if you are running Mac OS, I must have misunderstood you!
