There is still a lot of features that I am not taking advantage of with the Panther operating system.

For example: Is there a way to go directly to my user directory from start - instead of opening Macintosh HD, Users, My Name, and then Documents?

So provide any hints that you use with Panther.

Click the Finder icon in the Dock.

you can put a link to any folder you want in the dock. just drag it down onto the dock to the right of the separator line, next to the trash can.

There are shortcuts for a lot of places that you frequently go to - just check out the "Go" menu in the Finder and see the shortcuts. I use the Applications one all the time instead of the four clicks it would take otherwise.

All this getting to folders quickly...I don't know what I'd do without my logitech mouse, push down on the scroll wheel and my applications folder opens up, click the thumb button and my home folder opens up...it's the best!
