Getting Windows keyboard to control iTunes?

I'm using iTunes on a Windows 7 custom built PC and can't figure out how to use the media player hot keys on the keyboard to control iTunes.

Is there any way to use the media keys on a keyboard in Windows to control iTunes?

Did you check the manufacturer's site for a driver? My Logitech media keys work but only after I loaded their software.
