I upgraded my M4 iPad Pro to iPadOS 26 today and since then every time I copy and paste anything I get a prompt. It happens every single unless I copy and paste within the same app. It’s maddening. I’m not seeing this on my iPhone. Pasting these 3 screenshots generated 3 prompts asking for permission to paste from “Screenshots”

How can I fix this?

There is no "Paste from Other Apps." setting for any of the apps such as Notes, Safari, etc. Also there are no App settings period for things like Screenshots or Spotlight or iPhone (when copy/pasting from iPhone).

I'm getting those prompts for literally every paste I make in all apps.

Here's an example of something that has no settings.

I have a 2018 iPad Pro that I had erased previously and installed iPadOS 26 on and it's having the same problem. I also restored the M4 iPad Pro using my Mac It's prompting for every paste.

As such this seems to be a problem with iPadOS 26.

I discovered that I’m only getting the pop ups if I paste using the keyboard icon. If I tap and choose paste or use the 3 finger spread gesture I don’t get the pop ups. That’s even odder as it means it’s some kind of keyboard bug. That also explains why I don’t have this problem on my iPhone since it doesn’t have that icon. I use that icon all the time on my iPad which explains why I see this problem constantly.

One hopes it’s a bug, but I fear that Apple considers it to be a feature ☹️
