Hey guys, just wanted to bring up something that happened to me today.. My sister's last iPhone was stolen and so we got her a new one. 4.3.3, 4.10.01 baseband, all that stuff. We also got her a new SIM card today from T-Mobile and were planning to use it in her phone, Gevey Ultra and all.
However, no matter what we do, the SIM card along with the Gevey will NOT get read. When I stuck my SIM card in, everything was just fine, and I tested this on MULTIPLE iPhones. No matter what I always get a No Sim Card Installed message, which NEVER happens when I try the same set up with my own SIM card. I called customer service and after a lot of digging up, I found out that the SIM my sister got was a 4G SIM, aka one that enables Wi-Fi calling. The SIM I have and the SIM she used to have was a 3G one, which worked just fine. I was told I need to go find and old SIM and that'd be the only way to resolve this, and now need to hunt T-Mobile stores for one that still stocks the 3G SIM. Just thought I'd give everyone a heads up because from what I've gathered, this new 4G SIM will NOT be read by a Gevey. :[
