Gevey Sim and Untether

Hi

I have a friend who I really want to update to 5.0.1 so we can imessage. She has a 4, on 4.3.5 with a gevey sim. Now that the untether is out, can I update her to 5.0.1 preserving the baseband, and still use the gevey? Or does the gevey have problems with iOS 5? Does anyone have the untether on 5.0.1 and using a gevey?

I'm using that set up. It's working fine with preserved base band but it's only been 24 hours, so YMMV. But for me so far so good.
