I will be going to the Caribbean in a few weeks and wanted to use my iPhone while there. Since there is no software unlock for 4.10.01 baseband, I was thinking about using the Gevey sim. Will Gevey work with any GSM carrier worldwide? I was also thinking about getting a data plan with the carrier. Would I have to reconfigure a setting on the iPhone to make the internet work?

i believe it will.
i use the gevey unlock sim, the phone worked in a dozen countries with their local sim cards.

for data, turn on the roaming, and input apn for the network.

So Gevey does not have any network requirements? As long as its GSM, it will work? Also, I read that Gevey only works on original iphone firmware. Does that mean it wont work on a jailbroken iphone?
