I have a 4s ios 5.0 that was a CDMA phone that I unlocked using a Gevey Ultra S CDMA. It was running on t-mobile just fine, but then I gave it to my brother because I wanted a phone that I could get 4g on tmobile. Without asking me he tried to switch over to Straight Talk, and the phone wouldn't connect to any gsm network (his straight talk was only meant for an ATT iphone 4s, not a gevey unlocked cdma 4s).

Cydia got corrupted at some point during this, and it took me a little while but I got it fully back up and running...except that the Gevey did not work anymore. I tried a seperate CDMA gevey and it always just takes me to the activation screen once I try to unlock it like I did before. I uninstalled and reinstalled the FuriousMod and nothing seems to work at getting the Gevey to work again.

Well weeks ago when the SAM unlock was active, I somehow managed, with both the Gevey and Sam combined, to get it to connect to t-mobile again, but I would have to reactivate it anytime the phone got restarted, and once SAM was blocked I couldn't use that method anymore.

Does anyone have any ideas besides waiting for ifaith or something else to restore ios 5.0? I tried a lot of things, and unlocked other CDMA phones with the gevey, it just seemed like the straight talk sim messed something up somehow. The CDMA gevey has definitely been programmed for Verizon, and I made sure of that, but its still saying I need to activate the phone and that the sim is not valid which it shouldnt be saying.

I feel like I either have to wait for a 5.1 jailbreak and a way to restore 5.0 on a 4s, but I thought maybe someone else had some ideas.
