Ghost Armor or Alternatives

Hey guys. Just received my first Mac ever, 13' MBP 2010. Anyways, I am looking into somethign to protect the finish/screen from getting dinged up the best I can, and was thinking of GhostArmor, but have read some really bad reviews about it.

Anyone have any recommendations about what I could go with, if its even necesary, or any other general care recommendations??
