Hi. I’ve had a screen protector on my 13 pro max all along, so I’m not sure if it’s the screen, the OS or the protector, but it’s annoying AF.

Is it just me?

It is unlikely to be the protector, but it is easy to find out by removing it.
It is not the OS or everyone would experience it.

I found that some apps tend to misbehave more than others. Especially Twitter.
If this is your experience try to use web access for a while and see if the problem persists.

The standard troubleshooting for this is to reset to factory and test it for a while with only the stock apps.
If the problem has gone, install your apps one at a time and test. Do not restore from backup.
If the problem is still there you should take it to Apple.

By the way, some people will tell you that the screen will detect touch just by hovering your finger over it, and that this is normal.
I have never bought that as a excuse, but you are free to make your mind up obviously.
IMO the screen should react only when touched.

Thanks for the speedy and informed replies. I’ll have a think about what to do, and report back if I find success.
