I just got my new GHOSTCOVER keyboard protector for MBP 14'' 2021 and it is noticeably 'taller' than the one I had for my MBP 2017. It has a nice feel to touch, but the keyboard marks were there on the screen in no time 
I am seriously considering taking it off when the MBP is closed (I wish I saved the envelope!). The profile of the keys+cover is much more prominent although the cover itself is quite thin. It feels like the ridges of the key covers are too tall... Sad
