Ghosting 23" Apple Monitor

I have a 23" old school, clear, Apple monitor. It is about 6 months old and it started displaying a ghosting/burn in effect when I have a window open for a while then I close it. The effect fades after a few minutes, but it is annoying when doing page layout. Anyone else heard about this or had and issue with it?
