Can someone point me in the direction for a GIF Maker?

I'm having trouble finding one that exports HD files.

The only worthwhile GIF animator I've personally used is Adobe Fireworks, but I've only ever been able to import video footage into Photoshop. That said, nothing I've seen has ever topped Fireworks in general so far.
