i have an animated gif file put it wont animate instead it shows the all lets say 41 files it takes to make the file....is their a way i can get it to play in preview? or any other program?

I don't think you can it with Preview. If you drag the .GIF to Safari it will show the animation.

Preview doesn't have this functionality anymore...it sucks.

Just drag it onto your Dock icon for any web browser in order to see the animation.
