GIFs playing as videos?

Went to browse imgur and noticed that gifs no longer play inline, instead it opens the video window.
Any tips?

I think it's imgur. Someone on a different forum noted that the other day while surfing on their computer, not iOS.

You're correct. They recently updated to gifv, though they have reverted the changes for those on mobile devices.
