I havent' seen any like option to gift an app with iOS 6 through the new app store, did they remove the feature?

It has to be done via iTunes. I don't ever recall it being available within iOS.
I remember it being in iOS all the way at the bottom, but I don't see it or atleast I don't know hwo to navigate to it in iOS 6. I gifted the app to my friend but she hasen't received it yet. How long does it usually take?
Gifting apps through the app store has been available up to iOS 5.1.1. Looks like Apple removed the ability in iOS 6. That's a pretty stupid move.

They say that it is "currently" not available, which makes me think they plan on bringing it back at some point. Who knows why they removed it.
