"Gift" apps from Mac App Store?

Is there a way to "Gift" apps from the Mac App Store, like you can in the iTunes App Store? I want to buy my family Mac OS X Lion but that was the way I would do it so it is easiest for them. If there is no way to gift apps from the Mac App Store then I guess I could just buy a gift card but I'd rather "gift" them.
