I used the app and did not see anywhere to use gift cards so I panicked and ordered regardless cause I knew shipping times would slip. I'm guessing I can give them a call later and have them manually apply my gift card or worst case when I get the watch, do a return and rebuy using my gift card. Seems like a silly option to leave out on the app!

I did the same thing. I was waiting for the stupid website to come back up. I kept on watching my model slip on the app, so I just ordered on the app with Apple Pay. I'm on hold with them right now to see if they can do the gift cards for me now. Someone else on another thread said they can do it for you.

Same thing here. Bought it on the app and couldn't use my gift card. I wasn't even planning on trying though as I didn't want the shipping times to slip. I'm going to call them in the morning and see about applying the gift card.

Good to hear. Right after I placed my order the 42 mm Milanese slipped times so I luckily got in the 4-24 window. Hope that is indeed the case.

I had to use the website to apply gift cards, so I missed the first batch of watches. So have a 4-6 weeks estimated shipping now.

Can I ask how you managed to get ahold of them? For me it appears that they are closed

Just an update for others who didn't get to use their gift cards...I just called and they were able to add them to my order no problem, and it does NOT effect your shipment time.

Wish I had know/thought about this earlier this morning. I had 8 gift cards to use and by the time I waited for the website and typed them all in to the computer the shipping dates had slipped :(

I called and it took the specialist entering my GC in like 20 times for it to be added to the order. Except checking the balance of the gift card in passbook now i can see that it's only applied to the AppleCare+ charge :roll eyes:

I'm going to have to call them back later to have them fix that.

I almost had that happen. I waited right before the time moved up. I knew I was against the clock so i just went ahead and ordered and figured worst case scenario I do a return and rebuy. Right after I ordered it went to 4-6 weeks. I must have been on the tail end of the 4-24.

I had a $550 gift card but I knew my best bet was to order through the App Store with Apple Pay which I did successfully. I panicked later and ordered a Classic Leather and used my gift card for that one. I just called Apple to swap the payments as I know I will most likely keep the Sports Band model. No issues whatsoever. I get the sense they are getting a lot of calls like this because the Apple App Store app is completely inefficient for Gift Cards. They need to incorporate it into your Apple Card. Amazon does it flawlessly with their Gift Cards.
