gift certificates can not be used to purchase applications in Canada!

I got some as gifts over the holidays, and I don't download songs, I just buy CD's that I like, same with DVD's,

anyways..turns out due to legal reasons (i just spoke to apple canada) that gift certificates can only be used for music and video in canada, and you cannot purchase applications..


very stupid, letting you guys know..just in case you live in canada..

Thanks for the headsup; that's bloody ridiculous. Guess I'll have to scout around for some music I want as I'm sure as hell not going to spend it on video.
