In a matter of a few days I will be getting a new MBA. I will pass my older MBP on to my younger brother. I have already purchased all the iLife apps, so if I tied the complimentary licenses with my Apple ID, they would for all intents and purposed go to waste. Can I somehow give my licenses to my brother instead? During the first setup, should I fill in his Apple ID info? Or should I do it afterwards? My last new Mac purchase was pre-MAS, so I'm not sure how the process really works. Thanks a lot for your help.

When I got my MBA and logged in with my AppleID, then I went to the App Store and "accepted" the iLife apps. I can go to another machine now I noticed and if I login to the App Store it shows those in my purchased list available for free DL. So based on this, I think if you setup the new machine with your brothers AppeID and accept the iLife apps, then logout of the App Store and back in with your AppleID, the apps will show up free in the App Store for him.

I did exactly that and it worked. Thanks a lot! :)
