My 8 year-old nephew collects baseball cards. I don't know how large his collection is, or what cards he already has (I.e. no specifics) but was wondering if any of you who are more knowledgeable about this hobby than I am could suggest some suitable Christmas gift ideas? I found a price guide (book) that is a maybe. Are there other "accessories" that he might appreciate?

A box of individually wrapped card packs of a favorite company's set can be fun. Do you have a local dealer to buy from?

A single rare rookie card or a box of baseball card packs?
Or I guess something to display his cards would be nice as well, but I think that's something you appreciate when you're older.

I wouldn't buy a pack of baseball cards - I would spend the most money you are willing to spend on a single rare card. That would make it much more memorable for him.
