Hi,
not sure this is the right place, but saw no forum on iTunes.
Anyway my on has 20 odd $ on his personal account and would like to gift a movie to his mother.
Only when he goes "gift..." iTunes asks him for billing information, which is there as "none" - obviously he is a minor and gets cash allowances from us.
Does this mean that a kid with cash on his account cannot make a gift with money that has already been paid to Apple ?
----------
Just took the time to read that boring text alongside the gift option.
it says that credit on account cannot be used to give gifts.
to this I say :
- thanks apple for not allowing children to give gifts, I guess Apple supports the view that children should be ego centered people that can only spend parents money for their own self-centered needs
- money is money, who cares what shape or form it is in, Apple sure tries to seek its own interest and benefit, no wonder they are that big
- if apple accepts that kids can use iTunes in a controlled manner, some options should be unavailable (like gifts) rather than expect a kid to read a never ending legal lingo
some what I consider this quite repulsive of apple
