Gig of Ram

hi folks...
just installed a gig of ram into my new 12" PB... it's fantastic - all game's fly at full detail etc...

However, the ram seems to be running really hot. The bottom of my PB (the plate that covers the ram slot) is nearly too hot to touch.. well, not quite that hot 🙂 but its toasty enough for me to ask the question...
does everyone have this ?

PS: it was the cheaper 1 gig ram from OW computers ...

All PowerBooks run warm to the touch. My 15" gets rather warm from all the RAM as well. If it gets too hot, it'll let you know.

I too recently updated my RAM to 1GB, and I agree that the RAM cover on my 15 inch PowerBook gets really really hot. I haven't had a problem with it though. I would suggest however that if you plan on doing anything intesive like gaming or video editing or something taxing on the RAM that you use the 'Book on a hard surface like a table or desk, and not on a cloth surface as the cloth will make it harder for that heat to dissipate.
