Gigabit Ethernet.....?

Okay, I have a Netgear 5 Port Ethernet 10/100/1000 Switch. We have 4 computers plugged into it. The numbers light up on the switch when there is a computer plugged into that port. Mine is plugged into #2, and the 2 comes up Green on the hub. My iBook, a G4 Cube, a PC tower, and a new PC laptop all come up Orange.

Intel iMacs also come up green. I used to think (and it made perfect sense) that computers with Gigabit ethernet show up green (the PC tower, the iBook and the Cube don't have Gigabit), but now with a PC laptop that HAS Gigabit ethernet plugged in, also showing up Orange, i'm kinda confused.

Does anyone know what it means?

Go into the network information for that NIC and see if it says that its runnning at 100 it may have been set to always go to 100, or autodetect is not working right which i have seen before.
